Many of the car parks at Manchester airport are to install new security cameras to hopefully catch parking charges dodgers.
According to the airport itself some drivers are tailgating other cars when exiting via the security barrier to avoid parking charges.
Manchester airport stated that in a one hour period they counted 27 drivers doing exactly this.
They plan to add cameras with Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) functionality, which will record the drivers number plate.

LBA Car Watch Leeds Bradford Airport
When parking at Leeds Bradford airport there isn’t too much choice for off airport parking. Basically there is Sentinel security airport parking and LBA Car Watch. LBA Car Watch is very close to the airport and the transfers are only about 3 – 4 mins. On entering LBA Car Watch you will immediately see the reception building (actually a sort of portakabin). All you have to do is park up near reception and hand over your keys. You will be asked about your return flight arrival time then you just jump on the shuttle bus and less than five minutes later you’re at the airport.
At Leeds Bradford they now have designated drop off and pick up points so you cannot be taken directly outside the departures terminal, however after saying that it’s only about a one minute walk from the drop off point.
The security features and actual car park facilities are pretty much like any other car park but I would say that it is the level customer service and the promptness of the drivers which mark this car park out for a special notice.
Closure of Red Cent Parking at Belfast Airport.

APH have already informed all of their clients and re parked them at a nearby car park (Killead Airlodge Parking) at no extra cost to them. Anybody who has booked through APH will receive new documentation direct from them.
